Yeah, since we have male elves, and female candy...the stick people should be...male/female hybrids!! /rage

LOL no. It means we should have both since we don't choose to be this way at all, with Tonics we choose to be that way. When given a choice, it is an individual thing. When NOT given a choice, both should be represented, to be politically correct that is.

Get a life, it's April 1st and most people who have a sense of humor get the joke. If you can't survive 1 day with stickmen take the day off and come back tomorrow.

Fair question. And the answer is: We did not want to alarm new players with having this change happen without warning, maybe on a holiday they don't even celebrate in their country or culture. Perhaps they bought the game yesterday, aren't yet established in the community, maybe don't even have a friends list to ask about it. What a shock to have this happen to their Level 1 or Level 5 character today!

The decision to reserve this for Level 20s was made out of consideration for players. Anyone who wants to see the effect for him- or herself can make a PvP character and enjoy!

Thanks Gaile for clearing that up about only lvl 20's being effected.

I was thinking(which can be dangerous) about why only level 20 characters are affected and not lower levels. Could it be that because most 20's have all the best armors to look pretty, what better April Fool's joke than to take all that away from them for one day and let the lower level players look pretty. Just a thought.

edit: Gaile just blew that theory to the wind.

Next year, aside from fixing the armor bug, the pvpers would be much less annoyed if you color-coded the stick figures. Watching red bars and mashing monsters is totally unaffected, but picking out the monks from the mesmers from the warriors, whether on your own team for pre-protting or the opponent's for targeting, is much harder when everyone looks exactly the same. So simple solution, just make the stick figures match the primary color of each class.

Yeah, it's only a day off then back to normal, not the end of the world etc., but I don't think the point is to make people quit playing for a day.

I own all three campaigns. Prophecies is the GotY edition. I bought Eotn. I also have the bonus mission pack. I Pve alot, AB a bit, and pvp little. I am official "Leet" player (yes, I have pics to prove it).

I, too, am a paying customer, but....

I love this year's joke. it doesn't interfere with the gameplay at all, and if somehow does for you, you take this GAME way too seriously. Guild Wars sets itself apart from other games because of all this fun stuff, it makes you want to play. I like seeing stick figures, elves, candy-corn monsters, snowmen, masked characters, total noobs and elitists in all the same area. put i also like seeing (for a day or two, at least) a whole ton of stick figures running around :P. I mean come on, it's for one day. It's not gonna ruin the entire game for you.
